Texas Post-Divorce Modifications

PDF Print

postYou may already be divorced or there may have been a previous order governing the custody and support of your children. Sometimes major changes in circumstances render previous judgments unfair to you or detrimental to your children's best interests.

If there has been such a change in your situation, your ex-spouse's situation, or in the life of your child, Texas law allows you to return to court to seek to change (i.e., modify) the part of the decree regarding custody, decision making rights, residence restrictions, visitation, support, etc, as necessary to address the new situation in a manner better suited to your needs and the needs of your child.

Texas family law attorney Jon Boyd has extensive experience handling post-divorce and post-decree modifications in the Dallas area and across the state. He will be happy to assist you. Contact our offices now.
